Isaac Julien is a British filmmaker, photographer, and installation artist. He is known for his visually stunning and politically charged works, which often explore themes of race, sexuality, and globalization. His most famous works include the film "Looking for Langston" (1989), which is considered a seminal work in the genre of black queer cinema, and the multi-screen installation "Ten Thousand Waves" (2010), which uses the story of a tragedy at sea to reflect on the experiences of migrant workers in contemporary society.
