Bo Bartlett is an American realist painter known for his large-scale, emotionally charged works that often explore themes of identity, family, and the American experience. Born in 1955 in Columbus, Georgia, Bartlett studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and later under realist painter Nelson Shanks. His work is deeply influenced by American realists such as Andrew Wyeth and Thomas Eakins, as well as classical artists like Goya and Velázquez.
Bartlett's paintings have been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows across the United States, and his works are part of several public and private collections.
