Billy Childish is a British artist, musician, and writer known for his prolific output across multiple mediums. Born in 1959 in Chatham, Kent, Childish is a co-founder of the Stuckism art movement, which advocates for a return to figurative painting and opposes the conceptual art that dominated the British art scene in the late 20th century. His artwork is characterized by its raw, emotional intensity, often drawing on his own experiences and incorporating elements of expressionism.
